E-liquid ingredients (nicotine base, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, concentrated flavors) can degrade over time. You can, however, maximize the longevity of each ingredient by using a couple of best practices.
- 1. Keep your e-liquid supplies away from heat, light, and air, all of which can alter the chemical composition of your ingredients.
- 2. Store your ingredients in a cool, dark place, ideally at a slightly lower temperature than room temperature.
- 3. Ensure that the lids of all bottles are secured tightly enough to keep air out of them.
If this is your first time mixing DIY e-liquid, see our guides to safe nicotine storage and mixing DIY e-liquid safely. You may prefer to keep your DIY mixing supplies in shelving units or cabinets. See our DIY e-liquid mixing workspace guide for more information.
CAUTION: Nicotine and other e-liquid ingredients should not be ingested in any way other than through your electronic cigarette. For maximum safety, keep your DIY e-liquid ingredients stored in a safe place, away from children and pets.
