To all potential and current consumers, this appears to be skewed and does not paint the whole picture, Do your homework, ecigs may not be 100% safe, but tobacco is a proven killer. We are already killing ourselves, ecigs seem to have the potential to be less harmful – Only time will tell, but anecdotal evidence is promising. It is also important to note that the FDA only tested two manufacturers of ecigs, they do not represent the entire industry.
Per the FDA, “The FDA’s Division of Pharmaceutical Analysis analyzed the ingredients in a small sample of cartridges from two leading brands of electronic cigarettes. In one sample, the FDA’s analyses detected diethylene glycol, a chemical used in antifreeze that is toxic to humans, and in several other samples, the FDA analyses detected carcinogens, including nitrosamines. These tests indicate that these products contained detectable levels of known carcinogens and toxic chemicals to which users could potentially be exposed.”
