I’ll Be Enjoying My Electronic Cigarettes & Better Overall Feeling – Jeremy from Oregon
I had been smoking for almost 22 years before I started using an electronic cigarette in September, 2010. In October, 2010, I smoked my last cigarette.
I cannot remember exactly how I had heard about electronic cigarettes, but shortly after I did, I started to research them. I spent around a year of research before I finally found a cheap one to try. I was pretty much ready after a couple months of studying what they were, but I was afraid of the price. If I didn’t like it, then I would have to spend that money, plus my cigarette money, and I didn’t want to gamble on that. In retrospect, I really wish I had ordered a kit and not been afraid.
I didn’t plan on quitting smoking. I enjoyed it, but it was going to kill me. I had tried to quit through different methods many times, but had to come to terms with my addiction, and I gave up on trying to quit. I have now found an alternative to smoking that I am more comfortable with. I don’t know what the long-term effects may be, but after five months of using an electronic cigarette, I can breathe better, can taste and smell better, work and play longer, and don’t stink anymore, so I’m pretty happy with this nicotine option. Besides, if I decide to get away from using nicotine, I can simply drop nicotine levels without going through any additional stress of changing the taste or habituation.
When I finally build my time machine, I will go back in time and beat myself to keep me from smoking those first cigarettes. Until that time, I’ll be enjoying my electronic cigarettes and better overall feeling.
